A glass top made of ESG float glass for Ergolift Evolution series workbenches. Thanks to the U-shaped, the attachment stands securely on the worktable. The edges are mitered, UV-bonded and polished.
What is ESG float glass?
Float glass is the most common raw glass for modern store, exhibition or laboratory construction. It consists of a mixture of quartz sand, soda, sulfate, lime, dolomite and waste glass, which is melted under high temperatures and then poured onto a liquid tin bath.
After the cooling process, it is further processed into safety glass – ESG. For this purpose, the float glass is heated to over 600 °C under controlled conditions and then brought into a system of constant stress distribution by rapid cooling. This significantly changes the breaking behavior.
